Lightweight Aluminum Wheelchair

The Yuteng lightweight aluminum wheelchair (CA9862LFQ) is a self-propelled daily chair built on a double cross-brace aluminum frame — 16.5 kg (36.4 lb) net, rated to 120 kg (265 lb), with quick-release 24-inch rear wheels. It folds twice — the frame to 31 cm (12.2 in) wide and the backrest down — for car boots and ward storage. Around 115 units load a 20GP container and 283 a 40HQ — the container math is on the specification table below, with the carton size it is calculated from.

Why 16.5 kg and the Double Cross-Brace Matter

Weight decides who can actually move the chair: at 16.5 kg (36.4 lb), a family member lifts it into a car boot one-handed while steadying the user with the other. The aluminum frame is what buys that weight saving against a 120 kg (265 lb) load rating — the same rating our steel frames carry at several kilograms more.

The fold itself is double cross-braced: two X-bars instead of the single cross of a standard folding frame. A larger braced area spreads the load and keeps the frame stiff after years of folding cycles — single-cross frames are the ones that develop side-to-side play.

Quick-Release Wheels, Armrests and Footrests

The 61 cm (24 in) rear wheels are quick-release: press and pull, and the wheel comes off the axle without tools — for packing the chair flat, fitting it behind a car seat, or swapping a wheel in the field. Tires are solid PU on steel wire wheels, so nothing goes flat in storage.

The armrests lift off on quick-release for side transfers, and the footrests are height-adjustable, reversible and swing away on their own quick-release. Front parking brakes hold the chair still during those transfers. Every part the carer touches several times a day is tool-free.

Mesh Seat, Foam and the Seat Belt

The seat is breathable mesh over foam — the configuration that matters in hot climates, where PVC seats become unpleasant within minutes. A seat belt at the back holds the user secure on uneven ground.

The rear wheel position also adjusts up and down, which shifts the seat height slightly for users of different heights — a small range, specified per order.

Folding Twice: 31 cm Wide for the Car Boot

The frame folds to 31 cm (12.2 in) wide, and the backrest folds on top of that. Folding twice is what separates a chair that fits behind a car seat from one that needs the whole boot — and it is also why 283 units fit a 40HQ at one per 78 × 32 × 95.5 cm carton, or 115 a 20GP for smaller first orders.
